Lucy created a design with different shapes. Stars made up 1/4 of all the shapes in the design. Eight ninths of the stars are red. What fraction of all the shapes are red stars?

Stars = 1/4

Red stars = 8/9

Multiply:

1/4 × 8/9 = 8/36 = 4/18 = 2/9

Answer = 2/9
