The employer is responsible to provide appropriate personal protective equipment for their employees or workers. Moreover, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) set standard requirements that employers must protect their workers who are occupationally exposed to blood borne pathogens or other potentially infectious materials (OPIM).
