biosphere
The collective interacting whole of the entire earth system is known as the biosphere. Bio comes from the Greek term bios which mean life, and sphere indicated the globe. Some called the biosphere Gaia, as it indicated a sort of global network that connects everyone on the planet, and it indicates that everything is in that place for a reason.
