MARSH is an area of land with many grasses and reeds that is covered by water.

It is commonly found in the mouth of the river where extensive deltas have been built. The grasses and reeds in the marsh slow down the flow of water and the nutrient-rich sediments that flow with the water is deposited in the marsh making said marsh develop further as a wetland ecosystem.
