Charles Brockden Brown might be called as "Father of American Novel." He called himself as "story-telling moralist." He was born on JAnuary 17, 1771 from Philadelphia. He gave up his law studies and focused himself in a literary career. Because of that, that made him the first American to make writing as source of income.
