For this, to figure that out plug in (-1, -1) into the x and y coordinates and solve:

[tex] -1=3(-1)+2\\ -1=-3+2\\ -1=-1 [/tex]

Since -1 = -1 is a true statement, (-1,-1) is a solution to this equation.
