So there are 10 total chips. The probability of choosing a blue chip is [tex] \frac{7}{10} [/tex]. Then, after that the probability of picking a gold chip would be[tex] \frac{3}{9} [/tex], so you multiply the probabilities here to get [tex] \frac{7}{30} [/tex].
