Show how you can solve the equation 3x=9 by multiplying each side by the reciprocal of 3.

The reciprocal of 3 is just [tex] \frac{1}{3} [/tex]. So you would have [tex] \frac{1}{3} [/tex]×3x=9[tex] \frac{1}{3} [/tex] and you'd get x=3
