a set of measuring cups has measures of 1 cup, 3/4 cup, 1/2 cup, 1/3 cup, and 1/4 cup. How could I measure 1/6 of a cup using these measuring cups?

1/2 cup = 3/6 cup

1/3 cup =2/6 cup

Just dump a much from the 1/2 cup into the 1/3 cup.

The 1/2 cup will have 1/6 left.
