The distance to be covered by the runner is given as 7/8. miles.

The speed of the runner is 3/8 miles per minuet.

The Time taken can be calculated by this formula;

Time = Distance ÷ speed

So, the time taken; 7/8 ÷ 3/8

Time = 7/8 x 8/3 = 7/3.

Time = 2.33 minutes = 2 + (.33 x 60) { 1 minute = 60 seconds}

Time = 2 minutes 20 seconds.
