The point-slope form:

[tex]y-y_1=m(x-x_1)\\\\m=\dfrac{x_2-x_1}{y_2-y_1}[/tex]

We have the points (2, 3) and (5, 2). Substitute:

[tex]m=\dfrac{2-3}{5-2}=\dfrac{-1}{3}=-\dfrac{1}{3}\\\\y-3=-\dfrac{1}{3}(x-2)[/tex]
