what is the effect on the graph of the function f(x)= x when f(x) is replaced with f(-x)

All the x values are made negative

X = 4

F(x) = 2x
F(4) = 2(4)
F(4)= 8

X = 4 (still)

F(-x) = 2(-x)
F(-4) = 2 (-4)
F(-4) = -8
