Solve the equation using square roots: 2x^2 - 17 = 15

2x^2 - 17 = 15

add 17 on both side

2x^2 = 32

divide both sides by 2

x^2 = 16

take the square root of both sides

x = sqrt (16)

x = +-4

Answer: -4,4
