Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer:  x < -3

Discussion:

4x +6  < -6   (given)

Subtract 6 from both sides:

4x + (6 -6)  < -6  -6 =>

4x + 0 < -12 =>

4x < -12 =>

Divide both sides by 4 gives:

(4/4)x <  -12 (1/4) or

x < -3

Thank you,

MrB
