First of all, I would open a new account in another bank. Then, I would transfer all my savings to the new account. In that way, I could be sure that my money is saved. And even if my current bank fails, I could have relief with my savings with the new bank.

Banks couldn’t survive if all of their customers withdrew their funds.

Banks were not required to hold enough cash to pay out everyone’s deposits.

This would have made the Depression worse.
