everything changed with segregation and slaves were free no one knew what to do with their lives many veterans needed jobs many couldn’t afford to keep there home due to lack of funds after the war
For one slavery ended and that had a major impact on the lives of americans because white people had to get use to the fact that african americans were going to live in thier world now segregation happened and blacks were treatred poorly yet again
