Why wont Neon bond with anything else on the periodic table of elements?

because it belongs to group 0 the noble gases. Neon has a complete outer shell, a stable electronic configuration, thus it can exist as a monoatomic gas, and as it cannot form ions it cannot bond with a metal. It is unreactive
