The sides are not equal if that's what your asking because you have to subtract 2x from both sides and that gives you 5 = 6
5 + 2x = 2x+6
Move 5 to the other side
Sign changes from +5 to -5
5-5+2x= 2x+6-5
0+2x= 2x+1
Move 0 to the other side
0-0+2x= 2x+1-0
2x= 2x+1
Move 2x to the left side.
2x-2x= 2x-2x+1
0= 0+1
0= 1
Answer: no solution
