We can use the points (-4, -1) and (-8, 7) to solve.

Slope formula: y2-y1/x2-x1

= 7-(-1)/-8-(-4)

= 8/-4

= -2

Find the y-intercept.

y = 2x + b

-1 = 2(-4) + b

-1 = -8 + b

-1 + 8 = -8 + b + 8

7 = b

Now, put in slope-intercept form.

y = -2x + 7

Hope This Helped! Good Luck!
