How might an athlete's vital capacity compare to an non-athlete? Explain your reasoning?

It is a true fact that the vital capacity of an athlete will always be larger than that of a non athlete having the same body proportion. The reason behind such a condition is due to training exercises. A person having greater aerobic ability will also have a greater lung capacity than a non aerobic person. I hope the answer helps you.
