The changes in the borders include:
-the Dissolution of the Soviet Union, and the creation of new states: Lithiania, Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine,
-the split of Czekoslovakia
These followed the fall of Socialism in Eastern Europe and the fall of the Iron Curtain.
