Width = 4ft

Length = 6ft

Explanation:

Let length = l ,

So, width = 2l-8

Perimeter of rectangle = 2x(length + width)

According to the question,

[tex]20ft = 2X(l + 2l-8)\\20ft = 2X(3l -8)\\ 10ft = 3l-8\\18ft = 3l \\ l = 6ft[/tex]

Hence,

Width = 4ft

Length = 6ft
