Step-by-step explanation: All i did was try to find what would fit.

So first I divided 36 by 4.

36 divided by 4 = 9

Now i now that i have to make the numbers in the parentheses equal 9.

9 - 2 = 7

I now have 7 + 2 = 9.

I will check it now.

4 x 9 = 36
