To convert an improper fraction to a mixed number you simply divide the denominator into the numerator.
In this example you would divide 7 into 20. 7 goes evenly into 20 2 times, so your whole number is 2. 7x2 is 14, so you have 6 left over. You put the leftover 6 back over the denominator (7)
