1) find the gradient, m

[tex]m = \frac{ - 6 - 0}{ - 7 - ( - 1)} [/tex]

[tex]m = 1[/tex]

2) find y-intercept, c using coordinate (-1,0)

y = mx + c

0 = 1(-1)+ c

-1 + c = 0

c = 1
