What is an equation of the line that passes through the point (5, 4) and is parallel to

Answer:

6x - 5y does not change as it is parallel so I put x = 5 & y = 4 in this equation and the result is 6 × 5 - 5 × 4 = 30 - 20 = 10 so the parallel equation is 6x - 5y = 10
