They didn't buy any British products. In other words they started a boycott. This was all led by Samuel Adams (Sons of Liberty).

Explanation:

The Boston Massacre was also an example of Samuel Adams fighting with British to remove taxes. When Britain removed taxes on everything but tea they started the Boston Tea Party.
