A student has 6 nickel 14 dimes and 8 quarter. What is the ratio of dimes to quarter ?

Answer:

14:8 which can be simplified to 7:4 by dividing by 2.

So the ratio is 7:4. For every 7 dimes you'll have 4 quarters.
