Let's start on the right side. (4×n) is just another way of saying 4n. and 4×2 =8. So now our equation is 4×62=4n+8. Ok, now the left side. 4×62=248. now our equation is 248=4n+8.

We now will subtract 8 on both sides. This will give you 240=4n. Now, we divide 4 from both sides. This will give us 60=n. 60=n is your answer. Hope this helps.
