top box would be f(-1)=4(-1)-3 = -4-3= -7
second box; f(0)=4(0)-3 = 0-3 =-3
third box ; f(1)=4(1)-3= 4-3 =1
fourth box; f(2)=4(2)-3=8-3=5

f(x)=4x-3
So you have to take -1 and multiply it by 4 and subtract 3 from it. You will multiply 4 by each number in the chart and then subtract 3 to get your answer. I hope it helps.
