9x+y=2
-4x-y=-17
Elimination
5x=-15
Divide both sides by 5
x=-3
Find y now
plug x into either equations
-4(-3)-y=-17
multiply -4 to -3
12-y=-17
subtract both sides by 12
-y=-29
divide both sides by negative 1
y=29
Solution = (-3,29)
