What is one reason that matter is able to move around within the Earth?

Do you mean like magma moving in the Earth and the tectonic plates moving? It's due to convection currents in the magma in the Mantle. Hotter and cooler parts moving and therefore allowing the plates to move as well as 'matter'.

It is because earth exerts it's Gravitation force on it so, they move around within the Earth instead of traveling in a straight line
