y=2x+14
−4x−y=4 so y = -4x -4

so

2x + 14 = -4x - 4

2x + 4x = -4 - 14

6x = -18

x = -3

y = 2x + 14

y = 2(-3) + 14

y = -6 + 14

y = 8

answer x = -3 and y =8
