The numerator factored is [tex](x+9)(x-1)[/tex]
The denominator factored is [tex](x+1)(x-1)[/tex]
The x coordinate for the hole comes from the like factor (x - 1).
Set it equal to zero.   x - 1 = 0  so x = 1
Plug the x value into the remaining fraction [tex] \frac{x+9}{x+1} [/tex]
[tex] \frac{1+9}{1+1} = \frac{10}{2} =5[/tex]
The answer is (1,5)
