Find the constant of variation k for the direct variation 2x +6y = 0

A relationship between two variables in which one is a constant multiple of the other. The constant here is also called the constant of variation. In order to obtain this value, we manipulate the equation by isolating the variables. We do as follows:

2x +6y = 0
y = -x/3
