Kim and Jay leave at the same time to travel 25 miles to the beach. Kim drives 9 miles in 12 minutes. Kay drives 10 miles in 15 minutes. If they both continue at the same rate who will arrive at the beach first?

Kim will arrive first. Quick way to find out is to make fractions 

Kim 9/12 = 3 miles in 4 minutes
Kay 10/15 = 3 miles in 5 minutes
