Hey there!

2x^2 - 5 / x + 9

= 2(-1)^2 - 5/ -1 + 9
= (2(-1)^2 - 5) / (-1 + 9)

= (2(1) - 5) / 8

= (2 - 5) / 8

= -3 / 8

≈ -0.375

Therefore, your answer is:

-3/8 OR -0.375

EITHER OF THOSE SHOULD WORK BECAUSE THEY ARE EQUIVALENT TO EACH OTHER!

Good luck on your assignment & enjoy your day!
