The Oregon Trail has attracted many people's attention.  It is the main focus of one of the biggest mass migrations of people in American history. Between 1840 and 1860, around 300,000 and 400,000 people traveled the 2,000-mile overland route to reach destinations in the Willamette Valley, Puget Sound, Utah, and California.
