How were people different from those in the new england and southern colonies?

The main difference between new England colonies and Southern colonies is that in New England colonies, the climate was always cold but had a healthy environment for the people for their living, and on the other hand, the Southern colonies have extreme hot climatic conditions but did not have a healthy environment which leads to spread of diseases.
