If what I think your asking is right, then the question is 4 squared + 3 squared. in that case, you multiply the base (ex: 4) however many times the exponent indicates (ex:2). So your answer would be (4×4) + (3×3); translated to 16 + 9; which would translate to the final answer of 25.
