The moles of SO₂ are there in 22.4 L of gas at STP is one mole.

According to the ideal gas equation we get :

P V = n R T

given that :

P = pressure of the gas = 1 atm

V = volume of the gas = 22.4 L

n = moles

R = constant = 0.823 atm L / mol K

T = temperature  = 273.15 K

substituting the values we get :

n = P V / R T

n = ( 1 × 22.4 ) / ( 0.823 × 273.15)

n = 1 mol

Thus , moles of  SO₂ gas is 1 mole.
