the range will be ur y (or f(x) values...the domain is ur x values. So it is just a matter of subbing.

f(x) = x^3 - 1....when domain (x) = 0
f(0) = 0^3 - 1
f(0) = -1

f(x) = x^3 - 1.....when x = 1
f(1) = 1^3 - 1
f(1) = 0

f(x) = x^3 - 1...when x = 2
f(2) = 2^3 - 1
f(2) = 8 - 1
f(2) = 7

so ur range f(x) = {0,-1,7} when ur domain (x) = {0,1,2}
