in what ways did women achieve greater equality with men in the late 1800s

Well i know there was a lot of strikes and debates. I guess also, simply the view on women and work changed over time too. But through strikes, they were, I guess, more respected so gradually earned more equal pay to men. That isn't really detailed but gives you a slight idea.
