How do you find the base of a triangle if you know the height and the area?

if 42 is the area and the formula is bh1/2 then 42 times 2 = 6x to sold x we do 84 divided by 6 and x= 14 the height of the triangle.is 14

Well, first you have to work backward. You multiply by 2 from the area: 42*2 = 84. Now you divide 84 by 6 to get 14. That number is your missing base. To check if you are correct: 6*14 = 84/2 = 42.
