Otis is an elevator company which was founded by Elisha Otis. Otis pioneered in the invention of modern elevators, which made a breakthrough in the field of architecture and engineering. Because of the invention, high rise structures were made possible. Today, Otis still sells elevators, but also includes other conveying equipment like escalators and moving walkways.
