why does a bouncing ball rise to a lower height with each bounce ? What energy conversion is taking place?

Theres less energy, its starts off with its highest point. It slowly starts to stop cause the ground isnt giving it bouce its just absording.

The bouncing  ball loses its energy to the ground as sound and (heat) energy.
