The struldbrugs are characters in the novel Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift. The word describes humans who are apparently born normal, but who are in fact immortal. However, these people do not possess eternal youth. Therefore, they continue aging eternally. Because of their age, they suffer a wide range of problems, such as blindness and destitution.
