The Holocaust in Russia commits to Nazi atrocities during the invasion of Russia by Nazi Germany. Jews in Russia have established a large spiritual diaspora and the immense areas of the Russian Empire at one time entertained the largest community of Jews in the world. Within these areas, the essentially Ashkenazi Jewish inhabitants of several distinct regions flourished.
