= 8y^2 - 32y + 3y^2 + 6y

= 11y^2  - 26y

Hey!

Let's write the problem, 
[tex]8y\left(y-4\right)+3y\left(y+2\right)[/tex]
Apply the distributive property on the left side.
[tex]=8y^2-32y+3y\left(y+2\right)[/tex]
Apply the distributive property on the right side.
[tex]=8y^2-32y+3y^2+6y[/tex]
Add like terms.
[tex]=11y^2-26y[/tex]
We have successfully finished simplifying the expression.
