A number of scientific form  would be  3.3 * 10^4

I we multiply this by  2 * 10^5   we add the exponents in the normal way

3.3 * 10^4 * 2 * 10^5  = 6.6 * 10(5+4)  = 6.6 * 10^9

Division  6.6 * 10^9  / 3.3 * 10^4  = 2 * 10(9-4) = 2 * 10^5
